leaving this review after returning to the game, having played on its initial release around 2 years ago. while there is plenty to appreciate about spell brigade, the biggest win for this game comes by the art department. the art style, graphics, and animation just feel good to experience in real time, running and dodging is fun, and it has a welcoming energy to it that few games replicate. that said, the underlying…

I have many such games and this is one of the weakest. So is your damage, weak. No matter the upgrades, you spend your time running from uninspired enemies casting underwhelming spells while an elevator music runs in loop in the background. Hard pass. If you want solid games in the genre, go buy Yet Another Zombie Survivor, Vampire Survivors, Achilles Survivor, or Jotunnslayer.
