About the game

Island 359 is a Virtual Reality survival game for the HTC Vive and Oculus Touch. Players will scrounge for weapons, upgrades, food, and other items they can find to survive for as long as they can against hordes of dinosaurs, as they explore the increasingly dangerous, beautiful, and expansive island. You're a mercenary, the money's no good to you if you're dead, so you're going to need to survive long enough to get out if you want bragging rights and a fat bank account.

I shouldn't even be writing this reveiw as Island 359 is only halfway to having its full release, but for anyone thinking about purchasing this game now, you need to know a couple of things. THE VR GAME for me so far. Like being in an old Jurassic Park arcade game / film. Spent an hour on my first game, which for an action VR title is not the norm up to now. And just fun not exhausting like some are. Movement is easy, dinosaurs maybe also a bit too easy at the moment, but they act independently and can sneak up on you. Gun play is good. Graphics not as strong as the screenshots but good enough. No frame…

It isn't playable anymore on my quest 2. Tried launching through Steam and oculus in virtual desktop, air link and USB-C cable and game crashes within a couple minutes. Too bad I enjoyed playing it on a CV1 a couple years back through the infinity subscription.
