If you're a fan of classic Shooter/Platformer games, CRISIS Command might be right up your alley. If you didn't grow up playing many of those games as a kid, this game is still very fun and even challenging at times. The Gameplay is fun and the controls feel tight.

Good: As mentioned, smooth controls; cool retro look/music; interesting baddies/boss; relevant story involving AI in the future. Improvements: The introductory set-up narrative is waaaay too long. Needs editing and drilling down; felt like I was reading the start of a sci-fi novel. But, once you get past the set-up it's pretty fun.

This game pulls a lot of cool ideas from the Mega Man/X series, including the level-select progress structure, hidden items, and a shop for upgrades. These are great, fun, tried and true features. But of all the ideas that are copied from Mega Man/X, the maneuverability system has been critically borked. The momentum physics are far too loose. You can't halt your momentum during a jump; can't release a direction…
