Dead End Junction is a kinetic novel done in the form of a comic book. The setting is an alternate universe, similar to the U.S. Old West shortly after the Civil War. PSA: This is a kinetic novel. As in you don't get to make choices, it's not a choose your own story type of game. You just sit back and read. Not that that's bad or anything, but I bought it thinking it was would be more of visual novel where you get to make decisions that affect the story outcome. Not recommended
The reason for the thumbs down, is that there is NO option to save your progress in the read through. So every time you exit, you have to go back to the start of the chapter you were on. This makes it frustrating to read this digital comic strip. The story itself isn't bad. It's the repetitive button pressing to progress to the next speech bubble that makes it feel boring.
