About the game

Featuring a beautiful, detailed open-world and a haunting soundtrack, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is non-linear storytelling at its best.

It's not an action adventure! But I love that it isn't. The Archers mixed with a John Wyndham novel full, covered with a splashing of late 1970s/early 1980s nostalgia. It's a story, and you're in the middle of it. Interactive story telling at its best. Just make sure to download the Beta branch (still available) so that you can walk ever so slightly faster :D

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is truly one of my favourite games. It doesn't get nearly as much recognition as it deserves. The story is as touching as it is heart breaking, and despite it all it speak to the humanity we share even when confronted with something in-human. The way you are guided through the story in a non linear way, slowly getting to know these characters for whom it is already too late stays with…

I like walking simulators. This is not a good walking sim. Play something else.
