I enjoyed this, especially as this developer's first game. I would've loved pickaxe upgrades, but it's not feasible since the rocks work in chunks. Currently, I'd say the upgrade system isn't massively important, just find the keys and progress ASAP. Overall, it did scratch an itch, and I found time flying by and reaching the end. Also, for those having issues with the minecart in QWERTY. Your chosen control scheme…

Obviously inspired by A Game About Digging A Hole, A Game About Mining Rocks does enough things different to earn its place as its own game. You have one tool, a pick-axe, and you use it to mine rocks. Inside these rocks, sometimes there are gems or other precious items. Continue deep enough and there is a boss fight, too. Achievements are locked until the game is completed once which is certainly a choice.

Stone, Spider, and Rare achievements are broken. I have them done according to my wall in game but my steam page says no. Give me my achievements and I will change this review
