The trailer's line of "the word's don't matter, it's all about the score" is pretty accurate; the game focuses a lot more on the roguelite Balatro-esque synergies than the words themselves. It's a good roguelite game, but only an okay word game at best compared to something like Pronoun Palace

Just excellent. It neatly fits into the Balatro-like genre of taking an established type of game, providing the player with a bunch of ways to cheat and/or break that game, and putting that into a roguelite, run-based structure. For my money, this is the best-designed example of that type of experience. Genuinely really clever, some fascinating mechanics, great progression. Awesome achievement!

This game is super well made and cute, but it quickly becomes a game of "how many wilds can i string together in a row?" and then the game tells you the word you made. It makes it a lot less interesting gameplay wise and I got bored. I bought it after trying the first character in the demo but all of the different wild types made me like it less. I kind of wish you had to say what letter the wild is, like the blank…
