First off, the original game on Playstation 2 is one of my favourite horror games of all time. This remake involves the same disturbing story as the original. It's a good classic Fatal Frame experience - you've got great, creepy atmosphere, creepy rituals, SAY CHEESE! combat, and confused protagonists. It looks great as a remake with no performance issues. I do hate the tinnitus ghosts and crappy chase segments, though.

This game is very beautiful and actually scary since you don't have a gun. I really did enjoy a lot of the exploration they'd give you with a smaller map; also loved how objects could change and new stuff can be there. The story is amazing and the game does a great job showing you ghosts and telling you how and why they are there in creative ways. Now, why I don't recommend..... I find the camrea mechanics clunky…
