Picked this up because I like roguelites and weird deckbuilder-style mechanics. Cardwheel definitely delivers. The runs are fast and the decisions between rounds are meaningful. Each boss forces you to completely rethink your strategy. It’s easy to learn but there’s a lot going on once you start experimenting with all the options.

Pros: Super addictive gameplay loop Lots of interesting ball/joker/slot combos Runs are quick Cons: Bosses can really screw you over. Sometimes the ball physics act unexpectedly. Overall though, the good runs where everything lines up are amazing.

This game is OVERLY simple for the genre it’s in. It’s extremely easy, there isn’t a lot of variation or depth to strategy or anything. It’s boring . On top of that it needs to be patched. When you buy an upgrade if you keep hitting the a button it will just keep giving you the upgrade again for free … until you decide to stop. I’m not typically very critical with my reviews. But this game is just that bad. I love…
