About the game

The wilderness awaits. The map is your only guide. A realistic navigation simulator that captures the essence of the sport of orienteering. Dropped into a procedurally generated forest with only a compass and a topographic map, your goal is simple: find the fastest route between control points.

I’ve found it very useful for getting better with navigating by topo maps and general map and compass navigation. I’ve also seen it get better over the last few versions and expect it to continue to improve. The game is still very rough but functional. - It is some fun if you enjoy orienteering. - Tools and features are limited, no plotting, no precise bearings... - Physics are a little weird - The game offers plenty of information when it comes to learning to read maps and navigate. Honestly for the price ~20 USD, the game should be more than that, but it is still in early stages so i would expect much more development.
