An indie horror that doesn't treat the player like a fool! Campfire: Night One is a bold debut from Stormdevil Productions. The Unreal Engine 5 visuals pull you in instantly, and the atmosphere of the dark forest is truly suffocating. What I liked most is the "hardcore" approach: there's no hand-holding or over-the-top tutorials—you have to discover the path and the mechanics for yourself. Yes, it’s…

The atmosphere in this game is fantastic — the devs absolutely nailed the mood, and that's not easy to pull off. There's a refreshing lack of hand-holding; you have to figure things out on your own, which makes it feel genuinely immersive. The sound design is solid and used effectively for scares. The broken lights during chase sequences are a great mechanic that really gets your heart pumping.
