Where to start... I played Doom Eternal after it came out and now again to prepare myself for Dark Ages...This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer Doom 2016 over Doom Eternal...but that doesn't mean Doom Eternal isn't a good game. Where the game excels is at level design. The platforming aspect might be a turn off for some, but I believe it was tastefully done...What I like less compared to Doom 2016…

I usually write LONG reviews dissecting games on a design level. I could tell you how DOOM Eternal's systems bully you into "the fun zone" instead of letting you turn it into a spreadsheet of optimal inputs that "optimally" extract the fun from the game.
