About the game

Legends of Amberland: The Forgotten Crown is a classic western RPG inspired by the games from the 90s. Basically, it’s the kind of game I personally find missing nowadays. Light, fairy tale, epic, heroic, slightly humorous and without the need for an endless grind to progress.

A qualified yes. I have several issues with this game, which I note were addressed by the time of LoA 3 (played first; #2 to come). Most significant is the fact that you have no alternative but to fight your way through powerful monsters to reach less difficult opponents, Specifically, the desert region with high level snakes and scorpions must be crossed to reach ogres, bugs, etc., which are significantly less…

    Fun, simple lil' dungeon-crawler.

If Steam allowed neutral reviews, that's what I'd give this. It's a bland, vanilla dungeon crawler, with nothing to make it stand out. The simplicity of this game makes it appealing to newcomers to the genre, but if this is not your first dungeon crawler, I think you'll find this one disappointing.
