For full transparency, I refunded Welcome to Bummertown, but my final conclusion is that it is a fairly well made short experience with some great dark humor. I was actually really enamored with the artwork right off the bat, but the fetch-quest is too strong in this one. Again, it doesn't really do anything wrong, but the core gameplay is a bit bland. I really enjoyed this game and I'm not someone who typically likes adventure games. I thought the characters were funny and the gameplay was mostly interesting. When it wasn't, the game dev's were aware and made a joke of it. I feel like it was a bit expensive for the amount of time it took to beat it. (2.5 hours) but I enjoyed it so money well spent anyway!

Bought it on sale for like a dollar off, and like most of the reviews stated, it never really rose above 'something to do'. I didn't even really find any of the jokes funny, it was all just standard self-deprecation on the developer's part. There are lots of other, better games that you can be playing for $3.
