So far this is the best replacement I've found for the Motorstorm series on PS3. It is not the same, there's more focus on jumping, doing tricks and timing the turbo. I'm not yet sure if that's better or worse than Motorstorm - perhaps it's just different in its own way? The vehicles (vehicle classes) aren't as varied, but I don't really miss the selection that much. The maps also feel less polished, but each is fun…

Remember Motorstorm on PS3? It's like that, minus the refinement, the mud deformation and with the addition of some very strange and twitchy handling that almost feels like the physics are on fast forward the whole time. There is no hood vied for buggies. On maximum graphics settings, the pop-in is noticeable and happens right in front of you and the framerate is locked to 62fps, despite unlocking Vsync on my 144hz…
