The nightmarish dinosaur-spider hybrids known as Spidersaurs have run amok! Armed with an arsenal of awesome weapons, it's up to you (and a friend in co-op mode) to shoot your way through six levels of ferocious run-’n’-gun mayhem and send these mutant monstrosities back to the stone age.

This is what happens when you get a title with cute visuals, but is hard as nails - some people are gonna be unhappy. Four years on, you should be looking at this on discount, which it's easy to recommend it at. Would I have rushed to spend the full asking price... well no, I didn't. I discovered this game AFTER playing Wayforward's other recent Run & Gun game: Contra Operation Galuga. I liked both of these games, but you can tell Wayforward made this game BEFORE they made Contra Operation Galuga. Very similar mechanics and gameplay. Whaaat the heck has happened with WayForward? The Shantae games are my favorite from WayForward games and Shantae: Half-Genie Hero was what I consider peak WayForward.
