This is a metroidvania that at first looks simple and unassuming, but it's actually interesting and fun. It may not be long, but the world map is very well-made, there's not much backtracking and there's a ton of shortcuts, secret areas, hidden bonuses etc. that make it ideal for multiple plays, speedrunning, or just experimenting with various stuff, since several weapons have more than one purpose. The idea of food…

An amazing little Metroidvania. I beat the game in around 4~5 hours. I could have done it before, but I wanted to explore the castle the maximum I could. There are lots of secret passages and potential sequence breaks. Being not a long game, it adds replayability/speedrun value. I definitely recommend this little gem.

---see where this game landed on my metroidvania tier list beneath this review!--- It's okay. It feels a lot like Castle in the Darkness. It's short, raw and lacking in production values and features (Like a good map). It's presumably an early first-go at a metroidvania. Like Castle in the darkness, there were things i liked, but ultimately, i just couldn't get into it like I could with other indie first-go…
