TL;DR: The Pale Beyond is a very good narrative survival game that manages to be greater than the sum of its parts. The mechanics are simple and lose much of their challenge once you understand them and the writing is not exceptionally amazing but the characters are genuinely well-developed and the overall journey is surprisingly engaging. 7/10. I went into it almost completely blind, expecting some kind of survival…

I was recommended this game as a type of junior game to Frostpunk's difficulty. I really liked this game. I thought it had challenging moments, especially leading up to winter. It proved difficult to get everyone on my side, but I can easily see the replayability of trying to get different endings. It was a fun experience, and I recommend it to anyone who has an interest in the genre.

another one of those choose ur own *linear* story. Why waste ur time trying to min max resources when at the end of the day what u want wouldnt happen. Why call it what it isnt. It`s a graphic novel game infused with trashy resource management system. Plot is mid at best.
