One of my favourites so far when playing in release order, Oath in Felghana is a fun, fast and more challenging Action RPG, it refines Ys VI's mechanics to be a lot more smoother and enjoyable to play. Consumables are now use-on-pickup and chaining enemy kills gives you increasing amounts of exp and potentially drop temporary stat boosts, which makes clearing out enemies feel more exciting rather than a grind. Edit: I've beaten the game now. I still feel like the bosses are too hard, and the controls make the platforming too punishing. This Ys is my least favorite, but it is still a Ys game and I'm glad I played it. If you are new to the series, start elsewhere. If you are a longtime fan looking to grab this one, understand that Very Easy is Story, and Easy is actually Normal, at least as far as what you are expecting.…
