i downloaded and played this front to back in about 2 hours. I'm a megaman x4 zero speedrunnner so i felt right at home. the characters are charming, the stages are fun, it's an enjoyable little game. absolutely nails the feel of the psx X games in a way that a lot of higher budget and more polished imitators completely miss. i see there's a sequel, i might run that next.

No button remap in game, and the dash button seems to have a lag when trying to jump. I didn't even trust the dash-jump, and would only do double jumps or jump-dashes. This is a huge buzzkill in a Mega Man X clone. Also, the content just isn't there. No collectibles besides 8 life ups that don't really matter. Pretty much every boss can be face-tanked and the double-jump trivializes all the platforming. The game is…
