About the game

Ask anyone who considered themselves a true gamer in 1987 and the chances are they will fondly remember California Games. Now on Steam for the very first time, you too can enjoy six radical and awesome events: the half-pipe, roller skating, surfing, BMX, footbag and the flying disc.

California Games (C64/DOS/Atari/Lynx/NES/SMS/Genesis), developed by Epyx, Inc. and published by Pixel Games UK, is less a modern sports title and more a preserved artifact from the early days of gaming. I got a Sega Game Gear, and this game was not ported on my console. Well, the experience is overall quite frustrating. Some games works better on some ports, others on other ports, that's all. Better if you play it with your friends trying to get the highest score.…
