About the game

J.U.L.I.A.: Among the Stars is an innovative narrative driven adventure game. The story centers on Rachel Manners, a 35 year old astrobiologist. She is a member of an elite group of scientists, chosen to embark on one of the most critical missions ever conceived on Earth. Now Rachel is alone, orbiting an unknown planet. Her only companions are J.U.L.I.A., the space probe’s artificial intelligence and Mobot, a huge reconnaissance robot. Together, this unlikely trio will explore the mysteries of this solar system. But are they prepared for what they will find?

A psychological tribute to deep-sea existential dread. The storytelling of this game is incredible. The atmosphere grabs your attention from the start with an immersive underwater exploration system that keeps getting more unsettling as you advance. The voice acting is stellar, the constant tension is beautifully satisfying, and the philosophical themes are clever without being frustratingly impossible. Highly…

I have a big soft spot for this game. The story is good, the puzzles are fun, the environments are beautiful, and there's a ton to explore.

Hate to write a negative review of this game, but I lost interest. Great concept, subpar execution. Dialogue got repetitive, finding datapad and locker codes got repetitive, the presentation of the "primitive" race is cringe, and one of the later voice actors just sank it for me. Puzzle design is overall pretty good, esp. the blueprint puzzles.
