I played the original game back in the time and then couple of years ago I discovered that was a remake from that version and I loved it! now I just played this sequel in order to keep up with the story to play the newest one which is soulstorm, it turns out really interesting how they used new mechanics for clearing levels, I loved it and tried to rescue most of them but sadly I'll never know why there still so…

This game holds all of the charm and vibes of the original and is definitely longer with more fleshed out mechanics and ideas. The artstyle especially is undeniable and those pre-rendered backgrounds remain stunning. There's some good stuff here but I think the original ultimately feels tighter. man, i want to love this game. so much. like i really want to love everything this game has to offer, from the quirky and detailed art design, to the eccentric humor, to the atmospheric music. i will for sure play soul storm, and will look to buy new 'n tasty in the near future, but this game is just overall non enjoyable. i think much of that is due to an overall shitty port in my opinion. i quickly got frustrated…
