Anopek is charming, it's not especially intense or deep mechanically, but it's a very relaxed and enjoyable experience. The metroidvania elements are well implemented and fun. They're also less linear than a typical metroidvania, for better and worse. I accidentally overwrote my save about an hour in, so I tried to catch up rapidly, I missed some important items and kept running right into boss fights I was ill…

A short, but satisfying, little Metroid-like. The weapon abilities were interesting, even if two of them were a little too similar, and there's still some challenge to be had despite the lack of an ammo system.

Anopek is a first-person shooter using a similar engine to Wolfenstein 3d with perpendicular walls and no looking up or down. Considering the engine limitations, the levels are nice enough with bright colors. Very pretty level outside the first area with how the "reflections" were done in the water.
