Northern Journey is one of the most uniquely bizarre, atmospheric and sometimes horrifying adventure games out there. Any further attempt to describe it just wouldn't do it justice. The gameplay is rather jank and it's certainly a rough gem, yet it's one of those games where I feel such aspects lends to its charm, if you can put up with it.

One of the best games I've ever played. Several areas were gorgeous and one was the most beautiful I've seen in a game. The fighting overall was fine, though I wish there was a melee weapon. When I had to stop for the night I couldn't wait to start again the next day. I had a LOT of fun.

Enjoyed most of the game right up to the end. Mouse clicks refused to actually trigger weapons, which made timing attacks impossible against the flying enemy. Turned an otherwise enjoyable game into something that left a bad taste. The whole game had issues with mouse clicks not working, but it wasn't a fatal flaw until the final boss. Simply couldn't be finished in this state.
