I've collected all the monster proms but I do believe that this one is by far the easiest to throw a group of people in with no context. I appreciate all the subtle nudges to other games as well, but its not enough to destroy the experience to new players. Played this for the first time with two of my friends! We've played Monster Proms 1 and 2 before and (so far) this is our favorite! I was a big fan of the original game and had my eyes on the sequels for a while now, which made it all the more disappointing with what met me. In the first Monster Prom, even if a joke didn't land, each one was quick and the next joke was on you immediately not giving you a chance to dwell on it, and as such the energy was high and it felt very funny.
