Hands down one of the best grand strategy games I have ever played, the narrow scope of your own units initially compared to that of your enemies creates a unique feel, like all your enemies are playing high fantasy crusader kings with heroes and armies and all you've got a single cultist with a dream to help you destoy it all. Even though the UI is really simplistic, this game gave me quite a few interesting experiences. The journey to destroying the world is not a straight line with these mechanics and you can get surprised with what events happen, especially with the madness mechanic. The concept is interesting and I think it has a lot potential, I'd like more of that; however as-is (mid-2026) it feels like the game still needs quite some work in terms of UI/UX polishing and gameplay 'quality of life' tweaks in order to make it feel fun and less tedious. Like, it works, no immediate major issues, but a thousand small places that could use small improvements that add up.
