Recommended
I killed the past for all four main characters - plus the secret one - and I'm still not good enough to beat some of the secret bosses. There's still stuff to find and defeat; the amount of unlockables and the like in this game is crazy.

It's basically all you could ever ask from a roguelike. Tons of content and variety, lots of replayability, fun characters, great bosses, challenges, secrets, and the best part by far, synergies. It's a 10 year old game at this point, but it holds up very, very well. I don't often grind through achievements, but this one just hit all the right spots for me, and is thus one of my only perfected games.

Enter the Gungeon is polished, creative, and has awesome music. However, I don't enjoy its combat. My primary complaint is its dodge roll mechanic. The studio loved the mechanic so much they named themselves after it, yet it feels completely out-of-place here. Dodging can work well when it is primarily about global timing (tempo) and repositioning (burst of movement). Dodge rolling isn't really either here. Dodge…
