SOMA is a philosophically complex sci fi film disguised as a horror game. This game scratches alot of itches, claustrophobia, deep sea horror, sensory deprivation, fear of the unknown, and existential dreads, and so much more. All while telling one of the most brilliantly written story concepts I've seen. Some of the enemies alone had me feeling sickly with the stress they keep you in. 10/10 piece of art.

The game mechanics are pretty simple; Fix things, Solve puzzles, avoid ... whatever that was ! If you're a fan of existential horror, this WILL scratch that itch but if you're more into the more fast action paced "horror" it will definitely push you away. It's designed to build tension through logs, lots of audio cues and the implication of what's actually happening. Personally i think SOMA is an exceptional story,…
