Having never played the original Gem Tower Defense Flash Game, I didn't have much of an expectation coming into this. But with that being said, I genuinely think this game has a lot of potential and is genuinely fun to play. There is a decent amount to learn about the different gem combinations and evolutions it seems, and for the price, this isn't a bad experience at all.

I played the flash version of this game back in the mid 2000's and was surprised to see this remake. This tower defense lets you build a maze with lots of freedom, but challenges you to adapt due to the combination of towers available to you at any given time. Meh. I'm going to tell you to save a few monies and just play Gem TD in DOTA via the Arcade. It's very simple, and it's simply just build a maze/wall and shoot the things. There are in-game purchases, otherwise, you have to grind through the levels to get diamonds and then coins to buy upgrades. If you want the experience, use DOTA with Gem TD from the Arcade. If you want a standalone game, this is fine.
