Better captures the atmosphere of Metroid 1-2-3 better than any other metroidvania - most of which lean much more in the "Castlevania" side, or even Dark Souls. It's also, I think, a game about what it's like to be depressed: it's nothing to do with being "sad", it's much broader than that. If you go into it ready to sort of roleplay as a little girl trapped in a weapon, I think you'll have a better time.

An excellent entry into the Metroidvania genre. The slower pace and grittier gameplay felt right at home in the dark and meloncholic world setting. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

I’ve been debating with myself if I should give this game thumbs up or down. It’s not an offensively bad game in any means, I think it’s just largely undercooked and in many aspects boring. You are presented with two difficulty options: Original and Explorer. Original takes away chunks of your health after each death, which require spending the in-game currency (nanogel) to restore.
