This game is just not very good unfortunately. I was interested in the randomized commander genetics element when purchasing the game, but it's very basic percentage point changes and you have no agency over it at the beginning of the game. The world-gen / map design is also very bad. I've encountered the same POI's dozens of times with my meager amount of play time. I find a beacon to activate with two enemies…

It's not fun. The store screenshots are real, but not representative of what you experience playing. You walk ever so slowly through terrain that repeats endlessly in pre-defined blocks. You hold shoot. You get upgrades but there isn't much meta game here, and boosts are like 1% more Damage, or %1 better Luck. Run from checkpoint to checkpoint. Then keep doing this forever. My play time shows almost 4 hours but…
