About the game

We Are Not Alone is a new twist on horror that combines first person exploration and third person point and click adventure. As a member of a "safe" isolation experiment you'll explore an underground facility, solve puzzles and uncover the mystery of an unknown creature. Just don't make eye contact.

Aside from a misstep in the first hour involving a simple to solve puzzle, I thoroughly enjoyed this. It has a kind of unique FPS and Third Person pont & click visual gameplay element. The reasons for it feel kind of silly from a narrative standpoint, but it works. It's not scary, at least not for me. It's an ok game, but I'm not sure what type game it's trying to be. It keeps switching between classic 3rd person point and click adventure and modernish first person survival horror. Switching between the two interface control modes can be confusing. It's a bit of a slow burn to start with, but I guess that helps build up the creepy ambiance. It seems like a clever premise but the execution just winds up being awkward. The action sequences are frustrating and annoying as you can't logically work out what you should be doing - so you get splattered before you can guess what the developers meant for you to do.
