Mainly just want to leave this review to show that it's possible to run this game on below-minimum specs if you leave all the graphics settings on low. It's pretty smooth, even, albeit a bit ugly. So if you don't have a graphics card with hardware ray tracing, there's still a chance you can play this game. It's actually so peak. I tell people that while DCS wants to simulate the reality of dogfighting, Ace Combat wants to simulate the fantasy of it. And being a Japanese game, it has a lot of corny dialogue and incredibly obvious story writing but the story is really just a vehicle to create incredibly ridiculous set pieces to satisfy every dogfighting and shonen trope there is. What it lacks in sophisticated writing…

Truly an amazing game. It breaks my heart to not review it positively. The multiplayer monetization method is just fully unacceptable, they are acting like its a free to play model in a fully priced game. To top it off the Ace pass is time limited? Get the fuck out of here, scummy beyond reason. Death to all forms of fomo. Stand against it while it means something or live your life sitting a pay piggy slave.
