Shadows of Duat is a pretty interesting game. I really love the concept: an entire survival horror game trapped in a dark, musty underground tomb. The execution though… a bit of a mixed bag. The first 1/2 - 2/3 of the game is pretty excellent. It’s very viscerally challenging in a way most survival horror games aren’t - there traps everywhere, enemies, tough to navigate tombs and puzzles… it just feels so oppressive…

The game definitely has the creepy factor goin for it. It is survival horror to the bone. The game keeps you on edge as you can't save when you want to unless ya find offerings. You have to watch ur every step or you will pay the price via traps. The gunplay combat is solid tho I haven't tried the melee yet. There are 4 characters (with different abilities) to choose from but 2 are unavailable at the start until…

too annoying for its own good. barely have any health or ammo items. when you find ammo, it's for a gun you don't have. too dark. lot of having to retrace your steps.
