When you first start this game it does look a bit ,well 2011 to be honest although you very soon realise that it doesn't matter a hoot as this is a splendid wargame.The choice of battles, of wars,of scraps even is marvelous.Feel like giving the Prussians a kicking circa 1870,well I don't like your chances, much, but you can try .Consider yourself a budding Lenin and want Mother Russia red as, you sure can try that…

The best World War One wargame on the market! While the graphics are dated, the mechanics and the AI are excellent. Includes a robust naval game, a good research tree, and a variety of units. The game cheats, it's as simple as that. It's blatant, too. Something like an artillery unit can be miles away from any of it's support, completely surrounded and the combined beating of up to 8 full infantry divisions has almost no effect.
