Game's fun. The combat is pretty enjoyable, and customizing the mech AND the team driving it is pretty cool. I also like the timeline style of fighting, makes it tactical in a way without sacrificing the punchy mech goodness. My only complaint so far is if a pilot bites the dust, there's almost nothing to really denote that. No mood dips for 'close friends', no tone shift, you don't even get a gravestone. Makes…

It's not too terribly long of a game but it's definitely got a pretty decently fun and addicting gameplay loop, even if the difficulty can spike unexpectedly and it's story is pretty basic and by the numbers. If you like Mecha games and strategy games, definitely think about giving this a shot.

Remember the ship fights in Skies of Arcadia? This is that, only bigger and better, and with mechs...but mind that the fights're basically all there is - everything else is basically filler. And that should honestly be enough to carry the game on its own, if it weren't for some insane out of nowhere difficulty spikes and a lot of copy-pasted questing that makes the experience a real slog.
