I don't have much of a connection to the original game. I watched an LP of it and liked it. It was a quirky and surreal metroidvania. The short version is that it is a solid sequel that has a lot of the charm of the original. overall pretty disappointing, there's some pretty blatant game & level design flaws (having to fly between fast-travel points to retry optional bonus rooms, multiple required missions have you go through a level taking no damage but have sections with falling harpoons that aren't telegraphed and hit you instantly which was pretty frustrating) game is extremely easy, there is a "hard mode" you can purchase that said…
