Literally the game that got me into playing video games, not just watching. And is pretty much the reason for my whole personality. It possesses such an eerie sense of anemoia. The characters are lovable and so distinct. Truly, this game has left a lasting impression on my heart, and I'll always carry it with me.

★★★⯪☆ Oxenfree is worth the full price. The premise of using radios to find out how an island is haunted has a strong start, and the character dialog is on the better half of story games. In particular, the way characters bounce off each other in conversation is really well done — while some dialog feels dated, there's still a lot of believable chemistry between everyone, and their struggles throughout are well…

Premise sounded cool and the screenshots looked fun. Played for about an hour, and there was practically zero gameplay. It was poorly-written repetitive dialogue choices and some half-baked radio tuning minigame. A game's story can help carry it immensely, but is nowhere near enough to stand on its own.
