Absolutely beautiful game. It really does justice to the psychological horror genre. The story is beautifully written, the characters are memorable and the world design is just the cherry on top. Huge kudos to Sam Lake for his work on this. Man he’s easily become one of my fav game directors and writers at this point. The only thing that felt a bit off to me was the combat and movement. TBH you're better off watching or reading a plot analysis. There is nothing to this game except the story and the atmosphere, and while these two are very good, the gameplay itself is incredibly off-putting, repetitive and (for lack of a better word) idiotic. I'm no stranger to hard games, but this is not hard in a rewarding way, rather in an infuriating and punishing one.
