What a absolute banger of a game, for a soft reboot and an attempt to breathe fresh air into the Yakuza franchise I can honestly say Ichiban and gang are a great group of characters, and the story is rewarding for both Yakuza veterans and series newcomers. (I highly recommend anyone who has only played through 7 and loved it, to take a risk and go back to play the rest of the series before continuing onto Like A…

Yakuza 7 LAD flirts with being a perfect turn-based RPG. The depth of content, Kasuga's story, and the gameplay loop can easily wrap you in for hundreds of hours. The base game is worth every penny. That said, don't bother purchasing any of the DLC. RGG and Sega just want more of your money. There is PLENTY of content already.

I've played for 9 hours now, and I'm still waiting for the game to start. I watch half an hour of cutscene with bad dialog (maybe it's better in Japanese?), then run for 2 minutes, then watch another half-hour cutscene. Is there a game eventually?
