About the game

Explore impossible mazes while battling the Ancient Ones and their bio-mechanical servitors in this retro first-person, Lovecraft inspired shooter. Paradox Vector's graphics are inspired by the old-school vector graphics games of the early 1980's.

The first half of the game is pretty great fun. Kinda claustrophobic, but fun. After the first half it forgets it billed itself as a metroidvania and stops giving you new toys, and instead pummels you relentlessly with enemies that explode on death and are too close to you to avoid the damage, enemies that appear around corners, little to no healing, and (most damningly) a total abandonment of the old level design…

It's non Euclidian, It's Metroidy, It's set in a giant neon put-put course from a 90s mall... If you're into unusual and artistic games, this is a gem. I dig it.
