This game is basically Quake II-2 but it's a narrative driven game with a lot of waiting around for NPCs to do stuff. The first 2 hours are boring as sin but the game gets slightly better when you're able to move quicker and get access to the rest of the guns. There isn't much in terms of variety in this game. It's a lot of metal hallways and shooting a lot of the same enemy only for a bigger enemy to spawn to break…

We had it good back in 2000s: Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Quake 4, FEAR, Call of Juarez, Prey, Battlefield 2, Serious Sam 2 and others. The game still got it after 20 years. It's short (less than 10 hours, i think), it switches pace, doesn't give you fatigue of doing same stuff, it's atmospheric, no BS cutscenes or guiding hand tutorials.
