You don't get power-ups, only 4 interchangeable bullet styles and 2 side abilities, but the game manages to stay fresh thanks to boss variations that kick your ass until you figure out the shooting style that lets you get comfortable to deal with them. Amazing! This is how retro games should be done. Great new features like rewind and other options. I played this in the arcades in Japan. It was so hard l could never complete it. Now l can and l loved every minute of it. Brings back great memories. Highly recommended.

The original game is amazing, but there have been issues reported with this port - hanging visual orientation does not change controller orientation, so good luck with tate. And someone else said the lives you start with are inconsistent. These questions have gone unanswered for 5 months. Tough to support devs that do not care about gamers.
