I can't believe I never posted a review for this game. Starpoint Gemini 2 is truly a gem. I was deployed and had a weird itch to just zoom around in space in a big ship with the ability to divert power to engines, shields, or guns. My initial reaction to the game was "Wow, this looks like a massive sandbox space sim! Just look at how big the area map is and how many factions there are.
