This is the city building game I grew up with. It still has its great charm to it. It's also good as Cities Skylines, although it is a lot older than Cities Skylines. I got this city building game back in December 1999 on Christmas day, and I've been playing it since my childhood and it never gets old. It's still a great city building game overall.

SimCity 3000 is basically the 'perfect' version of SimCity 2000. Given that a 'best city builders ever made' list that isn't garbage will invariably include both of these games in the top 5, that should tell you something. Not recommended
Far too many bugs that never got resolved. "You can't get there from here" gets spammed despite everything being completely connected and accessible with 20+ roads to other cities. Spend 30 minutes with a new city only for the power station to randomly disappear forcing you to either cheat to get a new one or completely restart. Camera still is FAR too sensitive. Hours of nostalgia only to be filled with frustration.
