Recommended
Did not know this was actually connected to Misao when I bought the bundle, so I'm very glad I accidentally played them in order. Mad Father is an improvement on it in every way, save for the lack of Library. Puzzles, writing, unique identity, all improved. Would definitely recommend to any fan of the genre.

Despite RPGmaker's cult-favorite period in horror games, this game is too generic. It lacks the atmosphere of IB and Yume Nikki, the deep of Corpse Party and The Witch's House. The game twist and plot is guessed almost immediately, characters aren't particularly fleshed out over the three endings. Sprites and grapics also too small and blurry — its a remake, right?
