I definitely wouldn't say this game is for everyone. Dark Souls isn't very intuitive, especially when you're playing it for the first time. You need patience with basically everything, especially the bosses, because you're going to die. A lot. And then die some more. TL;DR: Game is good, but has A LOT of BS and *A LOT* of jank that requires getting accustomed to. That's where the actual difficulty comes from. The game itself is great! The world, graphics, music, bosses and combat are all so fun and satisfying. The multiplayer is AMAZING. The UI/GUI and the way the stats are all have that very mid 2000's/early 2010's semi-properly translated japanese RPG feel about them.…

I do not like how this game looks. There are some aspects of the visual design that I prefer to the original (AOE effects, magic effects, lava, etc.), but I still think PTDE is vastly superior with regard to aesthetics. Dark Souls 1 is in my top 5 favorite games of all time, and I think they have done a huge disservice to the game's legacy by making PTDE unavailable for purchase and instead only offering this…
