Recommended
a curious comparasion to civ6. Many mechanics present a more desision rich gameplay, and many of those desicions are so much more flavourfull. take civics. In civ4 you have a dilema of abandoning slavery, pushing harder on military control etc etc. It aint perfect, but in comparasion to civ6's civics it kinda is. What happens when you get 50% on making builders? +5 power when fighting barbarians? Its a mechanic…

The instalment of Civilization I keep finding myself coming back to. Superb sound design. The soundtrack is gorgeous. Christopher Tin's opening track, 'Baba Yetu' became the first piece of video game music to win a Grammy Award, it's that good. And Leonard Nimoy announces new technologies as you discover them. That also, is every bit as gratifying as it sounds.
