There's the makings of good gameplay there, but unfortunately the game dates itself with its brutally punishing and unfair gameplay. The stages are fairly short and simple, but then throw you up against a boss with super-fast attacks with almost no telegraphing that require flawless play just to survive even on the game's supposed easiest difficulty.
